Naughty Dog’s Intergalatic Charts a New Course for the Studio

One of the largest surprises at The Game Awards, Intergalatic : The Heretic Prophet we now know is the new IP from PlayStation‘s Naughty Dog studio. In development since 2020, the game stars protagonist, Jordan A. Mun, a dangerous bounty hunter who ends up stranded on Sempiria – a distant planet whose communication with the outside universe went dark hundreds of years ago.

Jordan is played by the talented Tati Gabrielle, who leads a “stellar” cast. Beyond the trailer, Naughty Dog is keeping everything about the story under wraps for now though Druckmann has mentioned a story revolving around “a fictitious religion and what happens when you put your faith in different institutions.”  According to Naughty Dog and PlayStation Blog, the game lives up to the Naughty Dog tradition of creating an emotional, character-driven epic journey with narrative goals only rivaled by gameplay ambitions.

The incredible voyage into the cosmos also needs an equally incredible soundtrack. Neil Druckmann excitedly announced a collaboration with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross who’ll be scoring Intergalactic. According to the team, the trailer is just a small tease of their work for the game.

We’ll obviously have a lot more on Intergalatic: The Heretic Prophet in 2025. As always, stay tuned to Seasoned Gaming!
